Vintage Car “Cruise” Parade!

An exciting new event for McCammon, proposed by resident, Carol Green:  A Vintage Car “Cruise” Parade!   It seemed the perfect marriage to have it the night of our Movie Night in the Park already planned:  “Cars” an animated film from Disney-PIXAR.

The parade route will be the traditional route from North to South on Center Street and looping up to Logan and back.  Though not required, we invite owners to wear costumes from the era of their vehicle for extra fun!

At the parade’s conclusion, special parking will be available around the ball park so these vintage vehicles will be on display prior to the movie beginning at nightfall.

Click [here] for more movie night details!

If you would like to have an entry in the parade, please contact Carol Green (see below) to register.  Thank you!

McCammon Holiday Light Parade and Party

A Christmas Light Parade is scheduled for December 13th at 7:00 pm with more holiday festivities directly after the parade at the McCammon Depot/City offices!
Read on for all the details!

The parade organizers are Betsy Howell, Stephanie Iverson and families.  The starting point and route will be exactly the same as the annual rodeo parade route, with participants lining up North of town and proceeding on Center Street and looping around on Logan, then down Front Street to park at the depot building.

Directly after the parade, everyone is invited to head to The Depot for a night of merriment and good cheer hosted by MAC (McCammon Action Council.)

Hot cocoa will be served (compliments of MAC) and everyone is asked to bring your favorite cookies to share.

UPDATE 12/5:  It was just announced that free chili will be provided, too!

Bring your ornament for the outdoor Christmas tree

You’re invited to bring a Christmas tree ornament for the community tree located in front of the city offices to be added that night (or you can drop off prior to the event night if you prefer.)

Sherri Bordeaux and Reese Darcy are organizing the after-parade festivities and told us that Santa will be featured in the parade on McCammon’s fire truck and arriving at the party soon after to meet and greet all the children.

So dress warm, bring your favorite mug and your Christmas wish list.  As always, jolly old Santa will be happy to pose for pics, so don’t forget your camera.

See you there!

P.S.  We want to make sure we have plenty of refreshments for everyone…If you plan to attend, we would really appreciate knowing how many in your famly/group will be there.  Please use this link Holiday Light Parade & Party and leave a comment indicating how many plan to attend.  Thanks so much!

**** If you are driving to the party, please note that a section of the area around the depot building will be roped off/reserved for the indoor-outdoor festivities, so it may be a good idea to drop off the little ones, the elderly or anyone with mobility issues.
